11月15日下午，由长师2138cn太阳集团古天乐(中国)官方网站主办的学术报告在第一教学楼301室顺利进行。

西班牙莱里达大学Paul Christou教授和Teresa Cspell教授受邀，以“Metabolic engineering and synthetic biology for the creation and use of novel plant chemodiversity”和“Third generation combination microbicides produced in plants for the prevention of infectious diseases”为题进行了学术报告。

Christou教授和Cspell教授通过报告介绍了合成代谢在医疗、药物、生物工程中的广泛应用，以及如何以最快的方式鉴定出最好的基因和品种；并对在分子水平上完成从植物体、细菌、酵母以及昆虫中提取有效成分来完成药物研发的过程进行了简介。此次学术报告为学生和教师开拓了学术视野，有助于激发学生对科学研究的兴趣。
